The whole point of any party is its plurality. I do not agree with Obama on everything and certainly am not going to change my views to suit his, and yet I will not go across to the Republicans, because I feel more comfortable with my core beliefs as a Democrat than as a Republican. It would appear that I differ on many issues with President-Elect Obama, but I am completely out of step with Republicans.

You can still hold core beliefs as a Democrat and still vote Democrat even though you do not like the leadership. I would say it is a case of voting party over person. The day that any person of any party dominates it, you might as well pack up your bags and go home.

No one person is bigger than the party they are in. It is the party that makes the person, not the other way around.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6154891590367910043.post-76139751880567770252008-11-09T19:19:00.000-08:002008-11-09T19:19:00.000-08:00Logical, I am going to hope he does a credible job...Logical, I am going to hope he does a credible job and helps to defend this country and turn the economy around. I am thrilled that he chose Rahm Emmanuel for his Chief of Staff. That is a good sign. I fought as hard as I could. I lost. Now, it's time to fall in line.Barbara LeBeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08167277992365045303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6154891590367910043.post-16361708400143142602008-11-07T23:26:00.000-08:002008-11-07T23:26:00.000-08:00Hey Barbara your President is Barack Hussein Obama...Hey Barbara your President is Barack Hussein Obama! But your point about turning Republicans away from their right wing extremism is valid and one I will seriously consider. Obama had the best organized, most focused campaign. Most experts, Republican and Democrat, agree on this.

Happy election day!odocoileushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15162147214174195198noreply@blogger.com
