When Obama managed to put $1.5 billion dollars in the stimulus bill for ACORN, he was insuring that his thugs will have buses and wages to continue his campaign, as they did during the brutal caucuses against Hillary. Now, we are faced with these people who don't work and have the time to climb on buses to travel the country and intimidate anyone who dares to disagree with the Messiah. Is this Democracy? I suppose it is for those who voted for the Obamanation. After all, we are always supporting free elections in countries that coddle murderous dictators. So now we have Hamas in power in Gaza, Hezbollah on the rise, and Obama's Storm Troopers doing the job for him right here in America. Look at the people threatening ordinary AIG employees and family members. That's a forecast of what's to come for anyone who speaks out against Obama and his move to socialist/fascism. He's going to bankrupt this country and destroy our defense capability, tax the enterpreneurs and confiscate the property of those who have worked hard and obeyed the rules. His Congressional minions are conspiring to achieve his goals in complete disregard of our U.S. Constitution. This is what happened in Zimbabwe and in South Africa. Now, we have Obama to take us in the same direction. Wow! What we have come to!!

Sorry, but this is not socialism.
The concept of early socialism was equality for all, later democratic-socialism, talked about opportunity for all.

Clearly, the Obama Administration is not Socialist, if you look at it. If it was, then everyone would get help with their mortgages, if in negative equity rather than a few.

Sorry, but going around bailing out insurance companies and banks, does not make you a Socialist, it just makes you look spendthrift and not capable of having any accountability.

One of the concepts of Socialism, is that the people through Government interest and control have a vested part in the ways and means of production. From what I have seen so far, the Government just appears to be giving these institutions a lot of money, with little or no accountability and influence in how their business is run. That is not socialism, that my friend is incomprehensible, to a socialist, capitalist or otherwise.

Fascism is exactly what Obama is about...firing Rick Wagoner,CEO of a major public company by extortion...when the shareholders and the Board of Directors put him in as head of GM. Read "Liberal Fascism" by Jonah Goldberg. Incidentally, Hitler's party was the National Socialist Party. Hitler made the trains run. Now Obama is going to make the cars run, that is cars of his choosing.

Yes Hitler's party was the National Socialist German Workers Party.

However, East Germany, was called the German Democratic Republic. Who says Germans do not have a sense of humour.

I believe you are thinking about Mussolini and the trains. According to my great grandmother, if you had Mussolini in the back of your train, then you are more than likely going to make it run on time. I believe that he had the rest of the Fascists march on Rome, while he let the train take the strain.

Anyway, Obama cannot call it the people's car, that is the Volkswagen, I am not sure what the American equivalent would be.

I do agree that it should not be up to Governments to tell privately owned companies to tell their CEO to resign. If it is a case to not agreeing to a Government subsidy, sorry ahem, rescue package, then take it or leave.

I find the whole situation quite weird, and cannot think of any socialist nations that would have done this sort of thing.

I would agree that sending people around in minivans, disrupting public meetings and intimidating campaign workers, is much more bordering on fascist tendencies.

When I read in my local newspaper that we fall in lock and behind President Obama, I have to wonder where the freedom has gone. These are the same people that went on and on about how awful President Bush was, yet demand total subservience to their chosen one.

From what I have seen so far, I am much more in agreement with you, regarding potential connections with fascism, than I am with my own experience with socialism.

I await the run up to next years elections with great interest.

Andrew, my mistake. It was the fascist Mussolini who made the trains run. Hitler, the fascist, built the autobahn, but in both cases, there was a huge economic downturn and a dictator taking over control of production, using the media to propagandize and having their thugs intimidate the more affluent. The similarities to Obama's reign of control are startling. I say BE WORRIED! OBAMA MAY BE THE MOST DANGEROUS PRESIDENT WE HAVE EVER HAD.

It should really be ABOMINATION and not OBAMANATION
